I was reading where you might need to protect any plumbing that is underneath the Pod.
HOW?

What are you looking to accomplish by "protecting the plumbing that is underneath"? Are you looking to use the R-Pod in the freezing tempatures or something?

| During the cold if they are empty you are fine. If you are camping longer term and it is cold outside you need to worry about freezing. I have camped with mine in the winter and only one time did I freeze up. |

As long as you've fully winterized you don't need to do anything underneath. I don't recommend using your water system during the winter. There are ways to keep things from freezing (heat tape w/insulation, boxing in the underside) but its far easier to just keep jugs of water inside for handwashing, cooking and tooth brushing. Most campgrounds don't offer water service during the winter since the same special methods must be used to keep the faucet from freezing. | If I remember right, Home Depot or Lowes will sell some foam insulation that fits around pipes. Don't know if that will do what you need or not. |
