Just got back from a trip. Was great except the last day the AC fan would not start. Worked fine all trip. Went to start AC at last location and you would hear the compressor come on, and no fan action. No fan on fan only mode or heat. Didn't have the ability to get up on the roof there. Home now, I suspect the fan motor is toast. It is 6 years old. Other than something stuck in there.... Anybody replaced one?

Mine did that, the fan was hitting the housing and would not turn. You can check the fan by trying to turn it from inside your trailer with a long screw driver.  I just loosened the set screw on the fan and moved it over to clear from the top side, works great now. This is also a good time to check the mounting bolts.

Thanks. Where do you insert the screwdriver? I assume the adjustment is made from the top side and cover removal??

Well after removing the top and inspecting the motor turns freely. I suspect the motor and capacitors after doing some research.... Unfortunately, parts are almost non available right now.

My Air Conditioner was slightly hitting on something, would would turn on but the was a bump with each rotation of the fan.

After returning home and parking it on the level driveway, it did not bump, the problem vanished.

I the Air Conditioner sensitive to being to being off level ?

Thank You,

Ron

Hey Ron, they are not that sensitive. You might have the fan blade loose... I did have that once.

you might also check the mounting bolts for the fan motor-I have seen a loose bolt that created quite a racket when the fan came on
