I wanted to add some grease to the wheel bearings and figured all one had to do was remove the cap on the chrome hub of the wheel.  I tried a screwdriver, putty knife and my knife to pop the cap off and it felt like it was going to break.  Is there a secret as to how to remove the cap and what is the best tool to use?

Thanks

The cap is plastic and has tabs that hold on pretty tight. Look for the slot on the cap to place your screw driver into and pry up until you can feel the tabs start to let go, then move your screw driver around the cap to loosen all the tabs. Cap can be tight going back in when you are done greasing to bearings so don't hit it with a hammer, only your hand.

Thanks for the quick response.  I thought it was plastic and the 1st time I tried to pry it off I thought I broke it.  It was actually one of the clips releasing.   Once I moved the screw driver to the other side it came right off.  Thanks again.
