I am at a RV site that has cable hook up.  I hooked the coax cable from the site hookup to the outside connections on the rPOD.  There are 2 connections the text above says cable/satelite....I connected the forward connection as I am not sure it matters?  When you go into the r189 there is a panel in the front that has 2 coax connections and a button for the amplifier.  The TV is at the back of the POD on wall next to back door.  With cable connected it doesn't seem to be getting any cable channels....I tried getting it to scan for cable channels but got nothing.....Anyone know how this set up works?

My wires were hooked up wrong in the bedroom area, I switched them and they work. May be same tech did yours! Make sure if you swap them you still leave the booster off for the antenna. Hope it works for you, mine took me several attempts including a Thru window direct hook up before changing the cables.

Not sure.....are you saying you had to remove the plate and change wiring?  How does it wire to the TV in the rear?  My antenna works much better with booster on.  I still don't understand why there are 2 coax connections on that panel?

I found this:
On the wingard rs-1500 you are only connected to the antenna when the amp is on.   When the amp is off it actually connects the TV to the cable input outside the trailer.   There are two connectors outside the trailer.  ONe that says "cable" the other says "Sat".   When the amp is off you are actually connected to the one that says "cable" onside.    WHich allows you to use cable tv at sites that have it without having to move cable inside of trailer

I don't recall the outside inputs indicating as being "cable"  will need to check to see.

Yes I had to remove the plate, switch the cables ( different colors ) and then my front and back worked, I did this after trying everything I could think of. , I think the tech had the antenna and cable inputs crossed causing my issue. Doesn’t take a lot to try , you can always put it back.

Ok figured it out.  The booster has to be off then you have set the TV to cable and run the channel scan then it works.  Thanks.
