In looking at the kitchen cabinet just below the cooktop burners I was able to regain most of the space by removing the two plywood dividers. I figured the dividers are there to protect the wiring and mostly the propane line, I trussed up the wiring and the propane line and added trusty pool noodles to protect the propane line. The wires were encased in cable loom available at hardware stores. In the upper cabinet you will see the extra electrical cable going across the picture, I added an electrical outlet to the counter top and a switch at the door entrance. this will provide a switched outlet connected to a led light strip that will run across the back of the kitchen just above the window so I can flip a switch for lighting. I will post this mod when i get it finished.
