have a 2015 R-Pod 179. Everything functions well with the exception of the refrigerator which is a Dometic, I’ve been in touch with Dominic many times and have never been able to solve my issues of ice building up on my fins in the refrigerator section. I would like to replace this refrigerator. Does anybody have any suggestions of a reliable make and model out there?

Instead of that, try installing a fan on the fins. That will help greatly. Here is one similar to the one I installed.

It won't eliminate the frost build-up entirely, but it will reduce it. You will still have a build up that will need to have the refrigerator cut off to allow to defrost periodically.

There really isn't an alternative to the Dometic fridge that will have the same 3 way power functionality. I agree with StephenH, you should keep what you have and try to improve it. Many of us would be happy if our fridges got cold enough to ice up the cooling fins.

Try the fan suggestion. If you are getting excessive condensation inside that is the freezing, but the temp in the fridge itself is not too cold, you might have an air gap that is allowing humid outside air into the fridge. Be sure your door gasket is sealing all the way around and check where the refrigerant lines enter to be sure they are sealed up. Also, don't put anything that is already wet or frosted in there or that moisture will migrate to the coolest spot which is the fins. And minimize door opening and closing.

another mod is to make sure there is a thermostatic controlled fan in the rear burner compartment.  Some people add a second, in line fan.  This exhausts the hot air exhaust, brings in cooler air and makes the fridge more efficient.

+1 Sealed plastic containers are your friend for minimizing the amount of moisture you are introducing to your refrigerator. Moisture will condense on the evaporator. If it is cold enough, it will freeze and then the frost builds up. A fan minimizes this to a certain extent, but even so, after several days, you may need to defrost the refrigerator.

Thank you to all of you who have chimed in. The fan sounds like a viable fix. Also we will check the seal when we get home. I noticed today that only 1/2 of the fans are frosted. The freezer unit is fine it’s just the refrigerator fins.

That parallels my experience as well. The fan will help, but you will still get frost build-up. It is unavoidable.
