The rear spoiler on my R Pod 190 has some lights in it which I believe are essentially running light in the back, not reflectors.  I will check that next time I hook up my tow vehicle to the trailer.  My question is how do I remove the center light so I can get at the wiring to it.  I want to install a back up camera, or review camera on the trailer to use while driving and when back up the trailer at campground and at home.

I have done fine without one for a couple of years, but I do thing a well functioning camera would be a very good safety modification.

Any one have any ideas about those lights?  I have looked at other ways to run the 12v to a back up camera, but think this is my best option and will give us the best view.

Thanks for any assistance.

Might be easier to remove the spoiler and hook into the power underneath. When you replace the spoiler, seal it up (sides and top, not bottom) with some eternabond tape. It will be good until you sell or retire your Rpod.

I mounted my camera on the spoiler.
I undid the screws on the bottom of the spoiler, lifted it up a little, pulled the wires out a bit and and just attached the wires. when i turn on the lights the head unit comes on automatically.

What brand/model is that camera John? Can you look at it while driving?

GG,
a Furrion Voyager, kind of spendy at $400, I've seen them new on ebay for $300, but i was given it by a customer as they no longer needed it.
Install was super easy and  the picture is good on the head unit. It just plugs into the 12v power point. and when i turn on the lights, the head unit turns on with a picture. Comes in real handy.....

I purchased the solar powered backup camera and monitor from Costco for mine. It attaches to the license plate area, but could be modified to be placed anywhere. https://www.costco.com/type-s-6.8%22-widescreen-solar-powered-hd-wireless-backup-camera.product.100504814.html
This is far cheaper than the Furrion which I would love to get at some time. Not installed yet but will post info once I have it working.
If you want it higher you could put your own vanity plate inside and mount as needed.
