For some reason it looks like my AC unit is broken, somehow. I've tried doing a full re-set by unplugging all power, waiting, then plugging everything back in but that didn't seem to do anything.

when I go to turn the fan or AC on it just hums. So I know power is getting to it. But nothing turns on and no air gets blown anywhere. Has anyone else encountered this problem or have any ideas on how to fix it?

I have a 2018 179

I would start by pulling the shroud and looking for bird and dauber nests.

I have already completely taken apart and cleaned both the inside and outside parts of the units. it still doesn't work.

If it just hums, then it is likely the bearing for the blower fan has frozen. With the power disconnected, can you rotate the fan by hand? If not, then that is likely your answer. If so, then it could be that a start capacitor for the blower motor is bad. I had one on a Harbor Freight cement mixer go out. The motor would hum, but the motor would not turn unless the drum was given a push by hand. Then it would start rotating normally. Replacing the motor start capacitor fixed it.

Anything beyond that is beyond my knowledge of AC units.

Alright, so it looks like I can move the fan by hand. But the fan will not move at all when power is sent to it. Just that damn humming. So I'm thinking it might be the capacitor?

Given what I experienced with one motor, it is very possible. However, I can't say for sure.
