As some may or may not recall, my black tank dump tube was very low when I purchased my 195. It was originally about 4 1/2 inches of clearance from the ground when level. I complained to forest river and they agreed to have it looked at. The dealer was able to readjust it, and get it to about 7 inches, but I insisted I wanted risers because the entire frame was to low. So now I have close to 12 inches of clearance with the risers. but as you can see, the gate is installed crooked, and the handle hangs almost 2 inches lower than the tube. Am I able to move that or is it cemented in that position? I wondered if the 4 screws have anything to do with locking that in position? Anyone know about this?

The 4 bolts are fixed. You can't adjust it there. However, it may be twisted a little where it goes into the tank. Look there and if it is, you might be able to loosen the clamp, twist it straighter, and then tighten the clamp there. Mine does the same thing. I don't have the covering so I can see it easier.

The only other way would be to cut the valve off and glue a new one back on that is mounted straighter. That would be much more work. You might be better off leaving things alone now that you have a good deal of ground clearance.

I think the 4 screws are there to hold the 2 front/back faces of the gate valve together.  The gate valve assembly is glued to the end of the discharge pipe.
I would think that the only way to alter the valve angle would be to cut the discharge pipe  some distance back from the hanger and use a coupler to reglue the 2 pieces of pipe into the horizontal angle you want.
I would check with Forest River to find out the pipe type and appropriate glue-could be pvc, abs or ???FR may even have some pipe thay could send you.
good luck

The 4 bolts screw into a hub that is attached to the end of the discharge pipe. You could try removing the waste valve to expose the the hub on the end f the pipe. That may twist a bit or you may need to cut the pipe, install a connector and turn the pipe to the desired position...then re-blue the pipe and connector. Or tell the dealer they did a crappy job and to fix it

You may actually find, like mine, the pipe is not glued into elbow back there. Grab the pipe and try giving it a twist. I noticed mine turned down slightly when I did the pipe support, that's when I found they never glued at the elbow..

If you find it is glued.. you can undo the 4 bolts, remove the gate assembly, rotate 180 degrees, reinstall.
