I mentioned this to my wife last week when we were camping.  I've noticed the the tacky light fad seems to be fading.  Last couple of years you were the odd trailer if you didn't have lights all around your awning.  Now most don't have them, at least around here.

Anyone else notice this?

Well, we just started camping again after several decades, so can't comment on the trend. I do know that tacky lights are one thing I leave behind to save space.

Not that I don't own any, believe me, that's NOT the case ...

Since I am new to camping, I can't comment on whether people used these previously.  I added some in an effort to put a little more fun into things with flamingo lights and a few plastic and metal flamingos in the ground.  I always wanted a beach house and this may be the closest that I will get.  At a visit to Canaan Valley WV last week, I only saw about 5 other lighted trailers in a campground of 34 sites.    None nearly as tacky as mine.  I cannot compete with Tink by any means but I was a little saddened also.  My poor husband just thinks I am crazy.

It's all in good fun.

I am going out tomorrow for a short camping trip and plan to use my 10 little lites for the first time.
Don't have an awing to hang them on, don't have the Dome either, BUT you can bet I WILL have them on since I will have full hookups. One year I strung Halloween lights from one end to the other INSIDE my coach. Really pretty with all the other lights out.  Grand kid at the time loved it, he is grown now, but remember his Mimi doing unusual things. Getting a Pod and learning to care for one at my time in life just has added another grin to his face.

I use el cheapo Christmas lights that I picked up for less than $1 a strand. I have a few boxes in my misc. tub that we take. That way I can light up everything! And I don't have to be too careful with them.

We used them with the Popup and the big trailer, but with this one I have yet to hang any out.  I also do a lot more dry camping so we end up using candle lanterns.  They work great.

I have a set of clear Butterfly lights that flash and change color (couldn't help myself), hung them with a light rope off the r-dome (could not find my clips on this trip).

Chimes, rainbows and butterflies O_MY.

Used my little vintage camper lites this past week, but inside the camper, strung from over the front window, back over the sink . Only have 10 lites, but was cutest thing. I could not reach even the little runner above the door to clip them in there, will wait until I can afford an awning. THEN I will be "litin" up.

I put out my little lamp on a table that has vintage cloth and enamelware with flowers. Have a sign at says"Caution, dog can not hold its licker".  Did not have rain, but need to limit things out now until I can have an awning.
Let me see. It is said that the way to figer out what not to carry is to put it in and go around the block and anything thing that has shaken lose and on the floor , to leave home. HMMMMMMMM. FIND a place for what has fallen out and TAKE IT is my motto.

Love to hear the places all are going. Right now I have duty to "sister" when she has heart surgery, but will be using Pod for a motel so I can be near hospital.
Will be "camping" out in it when football season starts, so I can read in peace and quiet!

I LOVE these, have been using one set, thinking about getting another when I can afford an awning for the Pod. Don't know how many sets it will take since I want them all around, so holding off. In the meantime I have been stringing them inside from front window to across the kitchen.  When I do decided to put them outside, I am going to find something else that appeals to me and keep a set for inside. Maybe seasonal mini lights.

Just love to go around and look at any of the rigs that have lights. Festive.LOL
