I have a 5-year old r-pod 178.  My black tank flush will not accept water via a hose when I try to flush it out.  I understand there will be a check valve and/or a vacuum release on the line, but I can't see where they are. From the outside fitting, the flush hose dives under the floor and only re-emerges out the bottom of the floor on the curb side just above where it enters the black tank. I'm guessing one or both of these valves might be blocked, but how do I acces them?  Also, is there a chance that the line froze?  I have never winterized it, didn't this year, and its below freezing outside.

Thanks for any advice you can offer.

It could be frozen, here's my experience. I have a 2015 178, my check valve was in the backflush line system backwards. It is in the shower wall. Never did work, and I decided not to remove bathroom sink to fix it. I eventually bypassed the installed flush and moved the capability to the drivers side. As far as froze, there's other ways to determinr versus the backflush line.

Mike - I've heard some RVs  have a check valve AND a vacuum release.  Are you thinking you have just a check valve, and did it look like a pain to access?

here is a vent line, however the backflush is a very simple system from a hose nipple to a check valve to the actual flush attachment on the tank. I removed my rear wall access panel which enabled me to see the check valve and verify it was installed backwards. To remove and reinstall correctly would have meant I would have to remove sink to access it, I couldn't get to mine thru the access (too low in the wall). It is located in the rear latrine wall. I decided not to do that. I disconnected at tank and left it in the wall. FYI - Numerous reports of this valve installed backwards around the 2015 timeframe, there was a post on this forum about removing sink to fix the faulty valve.

Yep, almost certainly installed wrong. Happened to me, too.

Dried 'Stuff' has probably caked the nozzle inside the tank by now. Best course (?)- get something like this with its own valve cut-off, would work better than the flush, too.
