Hi all, well its time to replace my original 12volt dual battery setup! I seem to remember that most people said it was better to consider using 2 6v batteries instead of 12v.
Couldn’t seem to find the posts I had read over a year ago.
I appreciate any input into this subject as well as recommendations for brand!
Just back from a trip into the Weminuche area in SW Colorado where this battery problem caused us to shorten our trip. We do more off the grid camping than campgrounds, so battery power is a necessity for us.
Thanks in advance!
Pokey and family

Costco has a decent price on 6v's( that's what I installed). Or, swing by any golf cart place and price their T105's.

I agree-Costco or Sam's Club for 2 GC-2"s will give you about the best bang for your buck.  I think they were about $110 each.  We've used them for about 5 years and still going strong

Thanks for the info, I see there are different types of the GC2. Gel, AGM and conventional Lead. Which one are you using?

+1. Flooded are the most cost effective and tolerant of overcharging , as long as you remember to keep them topped up with distilled water.
