After a year and a half of shopping Craigslist and RV Trader (and many local RV dealers), we found a 2013 R-Pod 177 posted on RVT, just 15 min. from home (lucky!). It appears to be in good condition and was reasonably priced - we took the plunge. It will make a nice 'first' RP for us.

Very excited to learn about this R-pod community. We already have a list of Pod Mods: need to make the interior a bit brighter (why no window in the door?); add storage (where do clothes go?); move the TV/cabinet (currently over the bed - future head injury?). Modifications will wait till after we've taken some test drives close to home.

We're open to campground suggestions (Michigan) and any RP177 (2013) modification ideas.
Let the adventures begin!

Great MI state parks all around. Tough part is getting space this time of year. Ludington is #1, Petoskey is a favorite in N. MI. Really any campsites along Lake MI are good. Holland SP, Hoffmaster SP, Muskegon SP. Hit the MI Parks site to book:

Also, I have a few MI state park reviews on my YouTube channel (link below). Trekers also has a bunch of MI State Park reviews : https://trekers.org - https://trekers.org

All the best!

LOL - we spent most of today watching your videos on youtube! We noticed your Michigan shirts right away. You've taught us so much already - bike racks, tires, interior environment, etc...

Thank you for the links too...very helpful!

Congrats. R-pods didnt start putting a door window in till 2017. As far as storage, welcome to the challenge. You will figure out what works for you, but it's always seems to be just a bit to small. I had one of the smallest units until now, the 172, and I just bought a 195 , the biggest R-pod yet, and i'm sure it will be just a little bit to small. No matter what, we always make it work and you'll love podding. If you have the R-dome, use it. Many don't like it, many absolutely love it. I loved it (195 does not offer a dome). You need to at least try it.  Have fun

Thanks! Our Pod does have a dome and we plan to give it a try. We've already thought how it will help with storage and double the living space. We considered the dome a 'plus' on the pros/cons list Smile
