Hi,
I'm wanting to attach a shelf over the bed.  I have read a few stories of people drilling right through the Pod. Shocked    Is there a particular anchor/screw length that seems to work the best in RV walls?
Thanks!

I use short screws with 3M super double sided adhesive tape behind the mounting surface and it works well.  Everything I've attached that way has shown no signs of pulling out.  Screws alone don't have enough withdrawal resistance in the flimsy plywood they use on the walls.  In the archives there are several posts that discuss the wall thickness.  I don't recall what it is, but it's not much more than an inch, while the door is about an 1 1/2" thick.  You don't need screws penetrate the wall surface more than about a half inch because they're just sitting in air or styrofoam any way.

You can also find the aluminum studs in the exterior walls which can add some security to the holding power of the screws.  Past posts describe the best method at finding the location of the studs.

Wall internal thickness in 1 inch. The walls contain 1 inch square aluminum box tubes, The curved ceiling areas have wood stringers. Check out this construction video.

We used industrial strength Velcro to hold mounting boards against the wall. We screwed U-shaped clothes rod mounts into the boards at a distance apart equal to the spacing of the beams on the Lowe's shelf we're using. The shelf then just slides down into the clothes rod mounts.
