I finally installed risers on our 177 last year. After 8 years of dragging our rear stab's it was time to 'upgrade.' Got the kit from FR, took me about 1 hour using hand tools only, and a couple of good floor jacks to complete the task.

The brackets that are used to bolt the axle to the risers are welded onto the axle tube, I suppose it could be its one of those welds that failed. ------------- 1994 Chinook Concourse 1995 RV6A Experimental Aircraft 2015 Rpod 179 - sold |
