I put set of shelves right between the fridge and the dinette - about 8" worth of space and required the removal of a piece of trim beside the fridge.

If it wern't such a PIA to post pix on this board I'd show you a very slick, almost no cost method to add some very convenient storage to the kitchen of a 177.  I will, however, post a link to some wire shelving available on Amazon and tell you that two of them fit perfectly behind the sink and from side to side in a 177 slide-out-

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CL91YIA/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Not al elegant as Marwayne's cabinetry but quick, cheap and effective

coopercdrkey, thanks!  I think those shelves will do the trick.

I'm assuming that Marwayne did indeed hand-craft his cabinets and he does very impressive work.  I don't have those skills, tools, and desire.

If you get open shelving, remember to get something to hold the stuff on the shelves while under way [or stow the stuff away while traveling].  Anything not restrained by securely closed cabinet doors or cargo netting is going to fly all over the place while you're merrily headed to paradise with your Pod bouncing along behind you.

I agree and that's a drawback to the wire shelves.  Because of the design, one cannot flip them over and have the wire lip to keep things on the shelves.

We do not have anything on the shelves during transit.  They are for storage of food items mostly once we get set up.

If you have items that are large enough, a bungee across the back and front would probably work.  Definitely not appropriate for glassware!

We put a couple of Ikea hanging ss boxes for storage of stuff like dish soap behind the sink.  They hang on a ss rod that's fastened to the wall.  I tried to find it on the Ikea web site, but their search engine is not working so well this morning.  Here's a foto:

That's the one.  Big smile  And the hanging bar is also a stock item that they carry.  We bought it for some other reason when we were in NJ and repurposed it when we got our Pod after moving to the edge of Nowhere.  Ikea has a lot of stuff that works well for interior storage and accessories.  I put some 3M super stick tape behind the mounting tabs before attaching it to the wall with screws.  It's very strongly attached.

I bought these on amazon for inside the upper cabinet in my 172.  (I'm also still unable to post pics)

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01HZGWSSI/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

With a little adaption they are stack-able and expandable. I was able to put them where I wanted them and use some force to make them fit tightly. I glues that rubbery non-slip stuff to the legs and shimmed them to fit even more tightly.  Last trip they stayed put.
