Thinking about getting a slide topper from RV Nations. Runs about 700.Was thinking that was high.
Anyone have dealings with them and is the Topper they install that good?

I paid $240 shipped from PPLMotorhomes, and installed it myself.

I paid a little less than furpod for our 179 topper from RVPartsCountry, although the price has gone up.

This is just for the roller; the brackets have to be purchased separately, which brings the price to $273 now. I don't remember whether it required the tall or short brackets; I'm think it's the tall ones.

Sounds high.  Got ours at e-trailer, about $240-ish.

The 179 has the longest slide-out of any of the R-Pod models, which probably accounts for the price difference.

To each their own.. BUT..  save some money.  Buy a 3 step stool, a broom. Before you bring the slide in, go up on the 3 step and sweep the slide top off.... You should check  the top of the slide, even with a slide topper.. If you camp long enough in one spot.. birds will start to build a nest.  Happened to friends of ours.

One advantage to a slide topper is it will protect your seals from UV, making them last longer.

And another is as you bring your slide in, everything that landed on the awning falls off.  No muss, no fuss.
