I'm tired of scraping botton on driveways and forest roads.  I want to do a 2 5/8 inch lift by raising the chassis off the torsion flex axle with a lift kit from etrailer.  The kit (I believe) is made by the maker of the Torsion flex axle ... .  I've tried to contact FR Rpod and left messages (not returned) asking if this will void my warranty...but no answer.  Has  anyone done this modification...It's a 2018 RPod 170 (tv is a lifted 4 runner).  thanks.

Lots of folks have lifted their pods. I think you can buy the 3.5 inch lift kit from FR and it shouldn't void the warranty, but check with them to be sure.

Here is how it works..

If a modification can be PROVEN to have caused an otherwise warranty covered issue, then the OEM can deny coverage for THAT issue. BUT.. putting in a door window cannot be proven to have caused the fridge to quit..

Many many owners have added risers, I know of no warranty issue being denied because of, or caused by, the install.

Magnusson-Moss Act. All consumers should know it.

If they sell the risers and you buy them and install them per the instructions, they would have a very hard time arguing that the warranty was void unless they explicitly warned you at the time of the purchase of the risers.  If you put stock OEM risers on your Pod, it should not affect the warranty unless you made a mess of the installation.  In fact, any modification you make with OEM parts for your trailer installed per instructions should have affect on the warranty.
