I'm wondering if any of you have modified the small outside storage spaces on your pods.  The opening on my 172 is really small and I'm not even sure I could crawl inside to hang a shelf or anything but the space is such a mess its not very useful. I searched archives but didn't find much.  Anyone?

I feel your pain, we have 172. There's not much one can do unless you want to raise the dinette. The outside hatches are as high as they can be, I also almost got stuck I mainly put long stuff in there that I can reach from both sides

I had he cushion off the back of the dinette area the other day and was looking at where it is supported, thinking of putting a hatch door under the seat or maybe on the vertical wall of the seat.  There is some pretty inaccessible space in the middle that could be better utilized and having an access hatch to the middle of that area would certainly help.  As for raising the dinette, the rear seat is already lacking headroom there for me.  Thankfully, my wife is not as tall and fits fine.

Yeah..not raising the dinette--though I've mostly taken that out anyway. But putting a hatch there is a great idea!
