I just installed this thing yesterday, and it seems awesome! I can lower my tailgate now, and the jack foot can't drag on the ground. I love simple stuff that just works.
(I don't work for this company, and I'm not getting any compensation to recommend the product, I just found something awesome I wanted to share.)

Edit: I did have to add a ground wire, as the Lippert electric jack grounds through the mounting hardware. No big deal, I used a ring terminal under one of the mounting bolts, and grounded to the propane tray mounting bolt. I installed a quick disconnect for the wires

The Jack-E-Up is new to me, it got my interest because I already put a dent in my tail gate. It would be helpful still thinking it over weather to buy one or not. The reviews are mostly positive and while searching I found Northern Tool had a better price than amazon.com.

What a neat device to allow the tailgate to come down when the Pod is attached.

On my cargo trailer I had a local welding shop fabricate a jack mounting plate rearward of the existing plate, about 9 inches back, and that allows the tailgate on the truck to come down without interference.

I'm thinking of having this done to the pod, but the propane tank will also have to be moved rearward.

We purchased the Jack-e-Up, found a used one on amazon.com in warehouse deals. Purchased a 10 gauge wire connector at the same time. Sounds like a good idea hope it works out OK. Thank you Jholler for your post about the Jack-e-Up.

Very cool indeed!  Always have to have the wife hold the tailgate if I need something out of the truck bed.  I like this!!

Does the installation require that the propane tank be moved?  It looked like there is not enough room to mount the base plate unless you move the tank further back. Can anyone confirm this??
Thanks
Vann

We bought the universal for a electric jack and a triangular base mount. The base mount by what I could see is the main difference weather it is round or triangular. I watched a manufacture video and they showed if you can fit a soda can between your jack post and your propane tank the adapter will fit. I hope this helps.

I have dual propane tanks, and did not have to move them. David and Danette is right, put a 12oz can next to your jack, if it will fit then the adapter will fit.

Yes, I got the universal one for top handled jacks. On the Lippert electric jack I did have to grind away just a little of the side of the triangular jack base for it to easily go in and out of the adapter.

We have a Lippert jack too, and needed to do the same grind a little of the triangular base away. Everything works! did the wiring and we are good to go camping. It will be nice to lower the tail gate and  it makes it easier stepping over the trailer tongue while camper is hitched to the tow vehicle. I am very happy with the Jack-E-Up thanks again Jholler for posting about it.
