Was putting my 182G's cover on yesterday and discovered that the roof
and side wall joint was separating near the garage door. Anybody seen
this? And what it takes to fix? |

| I think these kind of problems are very common the rpod. I also think that they often go unnoticed. Can you post a picture a little bit further out so I can see a little bit more of what we're dealing with? |

| My forest river quality control fail was further down on the wall. If you look up top can you use a flat head screw driver and dislodge the trim covering the screws? There may be one that is stripped. |

| My sidewall had several stripped screws. I moved a couple about a half inch up so they could bite. I still need to fill the old hole in the rail. I still had a small gap so I used 3m 5200 in the crack. I then will seal on top of that with what ever the factory used. Does any one know what that is, or if there is something better? |

x2 on the 3M5200, it is by far the best structural adhesive out there for boats and campers. I would remove all the screws and pull that molding off back at least 3-4', apply the 5200, then re-attach using a larger diameter stainless steel screws. They make it in black or white, and it's messy and gooey, so do your best not to get it where you don't want it. The slow cure one takes 7 days to cure and it cures by moisture so weather will not affect the stuff. He is a theory(WAG), but the first thing I did was remove the spare tire from the door. That is a lot of weight bouncing along back there day after day and it just can't be good for the door, hinges or frame. I am moving my spare under the trailer where it will be attached to the frame....there is plenty of room. ------------- 2016 R-Pod 176T |
