Twice we have stayed at campgrounds with Cable service.   It doesn’t seem to matter whether the Cable or Sat hookup we get nothing...

We had that problem at Ocean Lakes. I just used my Apple TV . I’m curious to hear what said. I was told it had something to do with the antenna switch box.

And the tv must have QAM tuner.

You have to turn off the antenna booster to watch cable TV.

Tried everything except the switch.  Does it matter which input the coax is connected to?

Thanks for the help.

Connect to the "cable"connection outside.
Turn OFF the antenna booster on the inside.
Turn on the TV, go into settings.
Select "cable" as your source.
Perform "channel search"
Enjoy.

Please Note:  Spectrum converted all of Ocean Lakes’ campsite cable to all digital on March 5, 2018. Our team has worked hard to assist Spectrum’s staff and our guests in this mandatory conversion. It has been a process and we apologize for the inconvenience and frustration it may cause. We continue to work with Spectrum on all issues.

Some Issues We Know About:
• Spectrum advised us that most TVs work. Tube televisions and flatscreen TVs manufactured prior to 2010 do not work.
• The Seiki brand TV rarely works with digital cable (QAM issue).
• Your camper TV must have a QAM tuner.
• The majority of Westinghouse TVs cannot be programmed.
• The splitter inside the camper may not be heavy duty enough and may need to be replaced. Ocean Lakes RV Center has found this rare issue.

Your R-Pod has a TV with QAM tuner from the factory.

Back at it again. This time I tried everything again. Neither tv would work with cable. ( no problems with programming a TV). I ran the cable into the sat connection outside and hooked the bedroom tv (189) up to the top connection (sat) . Bam it works. It makes me believe that the digital cable signal will not work with the antenna booster . Basically I had to bypass the booster in order to get the cable to work.

I might be misunderstanding, but it's been stated that you should not use the antenna booster when watching cable. Maybe you meant something else.

I was assuming everyone knew that, sorry. Antenna booster TURNED OFF and Digital Cable would not program.

Basically what I found , it wouldn’t program with the antenna booster inline , on or off.

If it worked on Sat hook up, maybe it's wired wrong?  Maybe mislabeled? Glad it atleast worked eventually.

It is a common mistake that the sat and cable wires are switched.  So if you follow the instructions people have posted here and still not getting any cable channels you need to connect the cable coming in from the campground to the satellite connection and most times it fixes it.

1st thing I checked , but sat wire goes to wall connection and cable wire goes to booster curcuit board.I pulled the booster outlet. I would try to explain everything thing but it might get more confusing. They may have the booster board wired wrong, but the booster works. I’ll need to find out what cable go where on the circuit board for the booster. There’s 4 coax cables behind the wall outlet. RED is SAT, Black feeds to entrance area TV. Grey and White one goes the cable connector on outside and other goes to antenna.
