Just wanted to say hi! Me and the wife are picking up our new R-pod 190 on Wednesday of next week. I’m sure I’ll be using this forum a lot as I love modding things. Already thinking of getting solar.

Well nice to meet ya!

Welcome aboard!   Is there any chance you can go camping yet this month in North Carolina?  Hopefully you can, here in northern Michigan we put ours in "hibernation" mode until spring.  Have a good 7" of fresh snow on the ground.

North Carolina does have some places with year-round camping. Falls Lake has the Rolling View campground which is year-round. We don't normally get extended below-freezing temperatures, but there are those times when we do get a run of below freezing temps that will last for a few days. Right now, none of those are predicted.

I would expect the Outer Banks (OBX) would also be a place with possibility of year-round camping. The western North Carolina mountains, not so much so.

If our R-Pod were not at the dealer's for some work to correct a slide-out leak and to get brake, bearing, and seal work done on the axle, I would not mind a short local camping trip myself. We've had plenty of long trips this year. I would not mind a more relaxing local trip.

Welcome to the Forum.
We are also in North Carolina.  There are several Pod owners in our state.
You will find a great deal of knowledge, experience and helpful info from this site. Use the search feature to find lots of info as well as asking questions.
Mods for the pod is one of the best parts of pod ownership.  Don't hesitate to undertake them and personalize your pod. Everyone has different ideas and different needs.  Another podder from the past said the R Pod has good bones to begin with. Start with what you have and make it better.
Enjoy your pod and travel safe
Vann

One thing about the searching on the forum. The default is to search for posts only up to six months old. A lot of times, this will mean there will be no results for a search. If you change to the advanced search, you can change the search parameters for a longer time period or all posts. Then you will be more likely to find answers.

The taco does great pulling our Pod. I added a set of SumoSprings to the taco along with a E2 Fastway WDH, some better tires on the Pod, and it we've pulled all up and down the east coast and the mountains with no trouble.
