My family is looking for a nice 177, we were planning to purchase this fall but recently learned that Forest River will no longer make the 177. It's the perfect size for us, we just took to long to pull the trigger. We live in the Atlanta area, if you are willing to part with yours...2017 or newer...we like to blue graphics.

Thanks / Brew64

Where, prey tell, did you learn the 177 was to be discontinued?

I emailed Scott Rhode at Forest River because I wasn't able to locate one near me and didn't see one for sale on RVTrader. His response was " I am sorry we discontinued the 177 due to other models significantly outselling it"

Much unhappiness... My wife and I had decided to get another 177 in the 10th anniversary colors.. I talked with my high ranking inside contact, and the 177 AND the 182 have been discontinued... Angry

Must have been driven by some statistic. I know I looked at 177s and then bought a 178 because of larger front dinette. Just seemed practical.

Yeah, the first 178's were in the second half of 2011 builds. The day we picked up furpod, they unloaded a brand spanking new 178 off a truck at the dealership.. we liked the extra foot and a half, but liked the rings exterior way more then the first change.

As I understand it, the 179 has been the most popular floor plan so far. At one time the plant manager told me they could probably build only that floor plan, and still sell all they could build.

Imagine so. We don't cook that much inside and really like storage with 178. Nothing against 179s, but still a 178 fan.

We like the smallness of the 177 and the rounded shape. As much as I would like the 179 it all boils down to getting the one the boss likes. As they say, happy wife, happy life!
I just reached out to Couch RV to get a quote with delivery. We’ll see what happens next.
Thanks again for locating these for us.

I know when I bought my 178 I sat on a 177 dinette and reclined. That 18" makes a difference. Something to consider.

I am with you Mark.  The 177 is the perfect T.T. for us, has been since we purchased it January 2011.  Guess we better keep it under lock and key so no vandals make off with it.  Probably going to end up like the 1909 VDB penny, rare and valuable!
