I would like to use a 12-18" hitch extension, with my Andersen WDH, to tow my 177.  The idea is to be able to lower the tailgate of my pickup without having to unhitch the Pod.

Has anyone DONE this with an Anderson WDH?

You don't want to use "an extension".. those have lots of issues, are not rated to use with a WDH, and cut your hitch rating in half. Really.

You need a longer shank. People don't realize the WDH shanks come in various lengths, from about 7" to 16". Just as they come in drop/rise numbers from 0 to 12 inches.

Ah, yes.  I do need a longer shank on the Andersen WDH.  Thanks.
