Hey folks. I wasn't able to find if this has already been asked, but has anyone experienced an issue where the wooden panel directly to the left of the fridge (if you're standing in front of it) doesn't want to stay in place?  It's the piece that slides as you're moving the slide in and out and is held in place by 3 long screws. It actually popped off and was laying on the floor on our trip back today.  Appreciate any thoughts or re-direct to an existing thread if one exists.

Greetings
I used larger self taping screws to mount the panel in my 179. they have worked well for a couple of years  the heads of them are visible, but no big deal.  They anchor into a sheet metal flange so the panel will still flex a bit.

I ended up putting in toggle anchors since even larger screws were not working. It has stayed in place for several trips now. I have thought about putting a hinge there, but it would need to be a double hinge to be able to flex if something were in the way either as the slide was being extended or when it was being retracted. I have not yet found a suitable double-hinge for that purpose.

I think we may be talking about different things. The OP said the panel is to the left of the fridge, whereas the problematic panel in the 179 is under the fridge.

The only "panel" to the left of the fridge would be the trim around the slide-out. Unless something was stuck behind it when extending the slide-out, I don't see how the trim could come loose. OTOH, the panel under the fridge has been a problem more than once for me.

The OP doesn't say which Pod he has, so he may not be talking about the 179.

It may be the trim. I know we had issues with the trim on the opposite side of the slide in our 179 when the cover for the ottoman storage would come loose and pry the trim off as the slide opened. We started throwing it on the bed and haven't had a problem with it since.

As I run through the unit, travel down the road.. You're going to find several come loose...

Sorry, but I've fixed so many spots now.. Not glued, short pins, no screws...

Don't get me wrong, I do love 'Lily'! She's been very good to us! I just see she needs a bit of TLC to keep everything in place.

...or it's possible the newbie OP is such a newbie that he misrepresented the true issue, which in fact happens to be the panel "under the fridge" on his brand spankin "new" 2015 179...whoops.  Sorry guys. And thanks for the suggestion. I'm guessing this will be something I'll have to do some tinkering around on.  Have a great evening.
