Hi Folks;

Any one know if a 2017 R Pod water pump has the capability to pump water from a water container into the fresh water tank? I am getting ready for a extended boondocking adventure and need to see if I need to purchase more gear to put fresh water into the holding tank.
Thanks
Barry

The pod pump is mounted under the cabinetry in the pod.  It's hard coupled to the fresh water tank.  The short answer to your question is no. Totally impractical but within the realm of nerdy theoretical possibility.

The pump itself, if you went to a lot of trouble to take it out and or replumb it, could do what you ask but it would be a lot easier and about as cheap to buy another pump for the purpose.

I have such a pump, mostly as a matter of weird coincidence.  I haven't used it yet, but expect to at some point.  I plan on using it at facilities without hookups so I can refill the tank by hauling water from elsewhere and pumping it into the tank, probably about 5 gallons at a time.  It's a niche idea.

A plastic Jerry can with a spout works well too, as long as you don't mind lifting it.  But marwayne's set up looks pretty good too.

We boondock a lot and always carry a 5 gallon water container with us.  We take it with us and fill it on our daily outing. When we return to camp, we pour the 5 gallons into the Rpod holding tank. We used a piece of 1" clear vinyl tubing attached to a large funnel and it fits perfectly into the Rpod filler hole.
