My husband and I just purchased a new R Pod 190 that we are picking up this Friday. Hooray very excited. We bought it for the purpose of traveling to see the National Parks this next year. In the meantime we will get use to everything R Pod   We live in Knoxville Tennessee and plan to travel to see Grand Canyon Zion Bryce Grand Teton Yellowstone Crazy Horse and Mt Rushmore    Wow. If anyone has advice and helpful tips or campgrounds to stay at we are open for all
Thanks for this forum.

Awesome! We just bought a new 180 and we love it!! Just back from our first weekend trip out of the area. We went to Carmel and Santa Cruz.

(My wife was born in Knoxville but she’s lived in CA for 20 years now.)

We stayed at the Pony Express RV Park in West Yellowstone. It is not what I would call a resort park. Instead, it is a (relatively) inexpensive place to park your R-Pod and sleep at night while you explore Yellowstone during the day. At the time we were there, we would not have been able to find space in any of the Yellowstone camping areas. They were all full.

When I was a kid my dad coached water polo and swimming at Costa Mesa high school. Corona Del Mar was one of their big rivals.

Well I believe the coach at CDM was Coach McNeal. Maybe your Dad remembers him if he was coaching in 1967 68!

Congratulations.  We picked up our new RP189 in March this year.  Feel free to ask questions for whatever you need. Enjoy.

In the Black Hills I recommend camping in Custer State Park, though you may want to reserve your site in advance. They have several campgrounds all beautiful! Also don't miss the Badlands. They have one campground in the park that I think has electric but no potable water, and there are a couple just outside the park near the tiny Town of Interior. We prefer state park campgrounds vs. private/commercial, but the KOA (White River KOA) a couple miles southeast of Interior is really nice and peaceful. The KOA near Devil Tower is nice enough too.
