Ok Dicor is the Suggested Self leveling lap sealant.

Without spending extra money on the Dicor cleaner, I have seen YouTube where people have recommended denatured alcohol or mineral spirits. Does anyone have any experience or concerns with either of these two?

Just wipe down with the alcohol, and apply over the old. It sticks to itself just fine. If you get to much buildup, or want to remove some, just scrape with a putty knife, removing as much as you want/need. The stuff NEVER hardens.

It doesn't hurt to clean out the cracks with denatured alcohol as well.  An old tooth bush works well to break up any debris.  Pour some of the alcohol into the cracks after scrubbing to rinse out the debris.  You need to let it dry or blow out the liquid before applying the Dicor.

Precleaned with the alcohol.
I’m getting a cover for winter especially under trees.
Dicor is almost fun to apply.

After being on the roof I see that I need to clean the roof and will do sides as well.
Any suggestions for a gentle cleaner that is easy to find on the shelf or at home already?
Thanks

We used the denatured alcohol before application of Dicor and it worked great, no problems no issues.  Will have to travel to a Dollar Tree and see if we can find this LA Awesome, sounds like a good product to use on the finish.  Thanks Mark.

I like the LA Awesome because you can mix from concentrate for the task, and it's cheap, and it works:) My Dollar General has it, I don't have a Dollar Tree.
