Don't try cooking while rolling down the road? Open the glass cover before cooking? There is not quite enough information to know what you mean. I have not had pots or pans slide off.

Are you trying to use it while the R-Pod is not leveled? Do you have the two tabs locked in to the holes in the cooktop for the pan support grates? Do you have the cooktop screwed down to the stove with the two screws? Do you have the stove body screwed to the countertop (take the stove top off and look for this one. Mine wasn't until I did so).

What were you doing when this happen? I have never had a pot or pan slide off a stable stove top.

Clarification:
🤔 We were docked, stationary & trailer was level while testing the gas stove burners in our new r189. My wife pointed out how "slippery" her pot of boiling water was while sitting on either burner grate. The slightest bump or touch of the handle would cause the pot/pan to slide off the ♨️grate. Nothing we can't adapt too, but it could easily be an "accident waiting to happen"! (Maybe the finish on the Calphalon™ brand pots 🍳 she was utilizing?) Wondered if it had posed an issue for others? Apparently not👍🏼
Thanks for the replies!

We have had an issue with pots and pans on our glass-top stove at home, but no issues with the gas stove in the trailer. I was asking about the burner grates as them not being locked down (both tabs going through the holes in the cooktop) could be an explanation. Without a picture, it is hard to tell though.

Once you use the stove for a bit, the burner grates will get a little rough which should provide enough friction to resist the movement of the pots.  Run the flame on them without a pot and get them really hot and it will roughen them up a little faster.  Just don't let them get so hot the enamel starts to burn up or melt off them.

Of course, if you really wanted to be creative, you could get a gimbaled marine stove.  They come with little pot holding arms that attach to the stove.  That's how I cooked while at sea and unless it was really nasty, the pots stayed on just fine.

Thanks Fred & Maria!👍🏼 The sea rail restraints are on order! Guess the new finish on this RPOD burners and the finish on the Calphalon™ cookware posed the "perfect storm"💦
