Went to mount exhaust fan cover and found the sealant – caulk to be slightly cracked. Decided to remove all of it before doing the job as I would have to redo four areas where the mounting brackets would be attached. What is the best sealant – caulk to use given the fiberglass roof? I have seen a number of warnings about some products not adhering properly, didn’t want to make that mistake! I do have some special tape that I used on a rubber roof hybrid which would be easy to use but don’t know if it would work or create more problems. Suggestions, recommendations, warnings all appreciated. Thanks, Henry

Most people use self-leveling lap sealant on the roof. Dicor is a popular brand.

I used it before for install a Fantastic Fan on another trailer (not an Rpod) and it worked great. Google installation and you should find detailed instructions. As I recall, I used Dicor Butyl Putty Tape between the fan and the roof, then self - leveling caulk over it and the screws.

The dealer i bought our Rpod from used the Dicor self levelling sealant on all the roof joints and it adheres very well.  You do need to clean and prep the surface but the instructions are on the caulking.  See also https://dicorproducts.com/ for some decent videos
