We have a 2014 177. One of our front windows makes a terrible screeching noise every time we open or close it. We have cleaned the window track and used a dry silicone spray in it. The window still makes the noise. Has anyone else had this issue, and we noticed very fine plastic shavings in the track. It’s almost like the glass is cutting into the track. I would love to hear what to do with this window. We’re not sure if the window can be taken out.

Have you checked for a screw or some other metal obstruction? You may need a very bright light and a dental style mirror to see. Something metallic could also be concealed by the furry stuff they use to stop air flow in the track, so checking with some kind of probe may also turn up an obstruction.
