Threaded locking ring on female end of power cable? I never had one break. I also found new ones to purchase but no install info.

ours cracked  and I repaired it with super glue. still holding ok.  I think it cracked from either twisting it too tight on the pod or dropping the cord on the ground.  I try not to do either of these any more.

It probably broke from being cross-threaded, which is easy to do. The trick I've discovered is to start by screwing it counterclockwise until the thread seats and then screw it clockwise to secure it.

And to make sure it is fully inserted before tightening. Just like any coupler.

I accidentally ran over mine and broke it. I purchased a new ring and used hot water to soften the plastic flange so that I could work the ring over it. Then I fastened the plug to the coupler ring that came with the new ring (cheaper to purchase the set than to purchase just the ring) to flatten out the flange so that it would be in the proper shape as it cooled. I'm taking extra care not to run over it again.
