Hi,  Looking to upgrade what came with the 179 I just bought.

I heard the Vinus Ultima is nice, but also heard its perhaps not firm enough?  I prefer comfy but on the firm side

Opinions.....

Thanks

Consider the weight of the mattress when you decide. We got a Zinus 10" memory foam mattress. If I were to do it again, I would have gone for the 8" model as the 10" model is heavy and hard to move out of the way to get to the winterization valves for the water heater and the water pump.

We just picked up a Comfort Zone 8" foam mattress from Camping World. Really comfortable!

For the first year we are going to try just a 2" Memory foam Gel pad over the factory Mattress.

We have one on our queen bed at home and it makes a world of difference.
Was around 80$ at Walmart. Plan is to buy new for the big bed at home then move that one to the pod and trim as needed.

Thanks for the feedback.  I ordered a Zinus 8" memory foam from Amazon. $220.  These older bones demand sleep comfort!

We tried two layers of memory foam toppers in our 179 and they didn't really help. The 10" mattress we bought is a vast improvement, but as StephenH said, it's a bear to move. We plan to eventually slice it in two and make two 30" wide beds, oriented lengthwise, with an aisle between. My wife will get the short side.

I thought about doing that but at 65 and 70", neither of us would fit that arrangement very well.
