Hi... Still going to Bend, Or, but first to Silverdale, Wa. Any information on NV route 318 from Alamo to Ely. Is it doable for my R-Pod? Good ,bad, or other. Thanks.

Ig, you must like tedium.  There isn't much out there.  I sure wouldn't pass any places to buy gas.  In fact, I'd invest in some 5 gal. gas cans and fill them before your departure; not to mention drinking water.

 Why don't you go up U.S. 93 and take a side trip to Great Basin National Park?  They say it's really spectacular.  It's on my bucket list of places in NV to visit.

Lostagain is right, it's pretty desolate out there. Like him, I would prefer the more western route. I would probably prefer going further west to US 395. Lots of beautiful places between Lone Pine and Mammoth, and north of that too.
