We took the pod out a couple of weeks ago where we had "city" water and had no problems until we were coming home.  We used the toilet on the way home and noticed that the pump kept running until we shut off the power.

We are getting ready to take the pod out  and I tested it pump again.  Now it does not seem to be pumping at all.  It runs but doesn't pressurize the system.  The indicator panel says the fresh water tank is 2/3s full.  I know the indicators aren't accurate but I had put water in the tank just before I tested the pump.    I have checked all the water system and nothing appears to be leaking anywhere.

I am thinking that the check valve on the pump is stuck as we can hear the pump running when we turn the power on.  Is there a way to check/repair/replace the check valve or am I looking at a new pump?  I am not really sure where the check valve is on the 179 so any help would be appreciated.

Did you check the winterizing valve to make sure it is closed?

I had that happen to me when we first bought our R-Pod. The dealer's walk through did not fully explain the winterization valve. It had been left in the position to draw RV antifreeze and not changed over to draw water from the tank. If you turn on a faucet and get compressed air, then this is what has happened. Change the valve and you should be okay.

I don't recall the dealer talking about the winterization valve.  When I looked at the pump, there was a the three way valve with a open hose that is used to suck up antifreeze when winterizing.  The valve handle was in line with the antifreeze hose.  I'll try it in-line with the other hose.

That's it! Once you do that, you should be good-to-go.

Great! I'm glad it was something simple.
