That is great to hear!  I bet you are excited to take it on her maiden voyage for your first shakedown trip.  Keep us posted on your first trip experience and where you went.

We're thinking of somewhere local for our maiden voyage. We can't wait to show our daughter when it shows up.  We took her to an RV convention here in the DMV and she looooveed it.  She's in love with thee bunk beds -- that was a must for her.

We have camped a few times in Virginia loved it! We stayed several years in a row at the Maddox Family campground on Chincoteague Island ( now a KOA), the KOA in Fredericksburg and the KOA in Harrisonburg/Shenandoah Valley. Also the Flying J/Pilot in Emporia and the Flying J/Pilot in Carmel Church area.

Is it just me, or do a-lot of people enjoy KOA?  We're moving from tent camping to rPods so we're not used to KOA's.  Are they a good place to visit?

We stay at them quite often, they usually have a pool and hot tub. We belong to their rewards club so we get points to use for discounts ranging from $10 to $30 off a nights stay. our favorite is KOA Cape Hatteras.

KOAs are privately owned campgrounds that join the organization.  KOA runs a tight ship and if the campground doesn't keep up to their standards they get dropped.  So usually there will be no surprises when you go to a KOA.  We like them but they are very kid friendly and have lots of activities/play areas for them.  For this reason we actually try to avoid them since we only want a quiet place (no pool or activities) to stay for a few days while we go off sightseeing.

Like Richard and Cindy we also tend to avoid KOA's.  We prefer the quietness over all the hustle and bustle that KOA's tend to offer.  In all our camping years, since being married, and that is now 41 + we have gone two times to a KOA; our kids when they were quite young, really liked them.

Quiet here too. I remember last year at the ERU we were across from the pool. I told my wife I hear "Marco Polo" one more time I'm going to shoot myself:)
