I'm still looking for a good quality mattress. The factory mattress on my 2016 171 is collapsing on the edge. I would like to find maybe a relatively firm futon mattress if I can find the right size. (74 1/2 X 62). Any suggestions?

They have a lot of nice mattresses on the Camping World site and also Amazon.

Look for "short Queen" mattresses. They will fit perfectly. We have a 10" memory foam mattress, but some people find them too heavy to make up easily.

They also make an 8” if the 10 is to heavy.

If I had a redo, I would go with 8" vice 10", the ten is heavy, glad I don't make bed often or mess with water heater valves.

Good luck Henry, not much different than what comes with the Pod.

A good topper, memory foam or otherwise, made my Pod mattress MUCH better. I found a 4 inch topper at Walmart for a lot less than a new mattress.

But if I was spending a LOT of time on the road camping, I would likely go for a much better mattress too.

As we spoke before Henry, it is hard to beat the Eurotop mattress.  Ours is 7 years old and is still firm and comfortable.  The price may be a bit stiff, but, I rather have to bite the bullet rather than end up with a stiff back while on vacation because of a poor mattress, like the one you get standard with the pod.  There are quite a range of prices for these on Amazon and Ebay.
