We got our reservations for a week at Fort Massac, IL for the April Quilt Show in Paducha, KY. Dar looks at quilts and stuff and I chill with the dogs. It is a good little campground, and in April it is quiet with mainly us older adults with a connection to the quilt show. I can hardly wait.

Ahhhhhhh. I read this this with envy. My First definite, already booked trip out is the official starting weekend of memorial day weekend. I may get out a week or 2 earlier if time permits, but, campgrounds are not booking in april around here, so I know for sure I won't be out then. I did hear that thebestdoggonedrivewaycampingavailable may be accepting reservations in April.

I look forward to the first trip each year. It could be a little dicey in Wisconsin in April, but Fort Massac is southern Illinois and will be green and mostly warmer. Thinking about it will get us through the rest of the winter.
