Picked up our new 178 in Nov. Love it.

Two issues - the cushions are too soft - the foam is not dense. I'm having them re-stuffed locally with denser foam.

Second, the black tank tube end was suspended by a 6" piece of strapping from the frame. Vibration caused it to fail - I was lucky - didn't drag the tube and it didn't separate from the tank.

I tried stainless steel strapping, and it failed too (after 2,500 miles).

Have appt next week to let a local dealer contend with it- this is an early (blue-gray) 178. The newer units have the tube connected directly to the frame - which would eliminate the vibration. Dealer says they'll ask FR to foot the bill - we'll see.
