My name is Jeff. My wife, Melissa and I have just purchased a new RP180.  We will be taking delivery it in 2 weeks.  We are looking forward to the upgrade from our 17 year old Casita.  While we loved the Casita, it has gotten long in the tooth and we are looking forward to a more modern featured somewhat bigger trailer.

We will hopefully be able to take this on longer trips and am looking forward to doing some of the modifications that have been posted to increase the storage capacity.

Our tow vehicle is a 2015 Toyota 4Runner, which we are hoping will be adequate for this trailer.

I will enjoy reading and learning about the R Pods and experiences others have had with them, as well as making some of the modifications to make her ours.

Hope to see some of you on the road.

Jeffus

Hi jeff
Your gonna love the pod. As far as towing goes, you'll do ok in most situations, you might be a little light on power for long or steep upgrades, but dont sweat it, you'll make it, might go a little slower than you'd like, but hey, your on vacation, slow down and enjoy the ride

My wife and I were originally looking at Scamps or a Casita, but decided we wanted a little more
room. R-Pod fit the bill and at a far lower cost. Our RP-179 should be delivered early next week.

Welcome and congratulations, as others have said you're going to love your RPod! We recently spent a week with ours on the "warm sun by day, bone-chilling damp cold at night" California coast and everything went wonderfully. We didn't even need our heater, as the temps are moderate enough and just getting inside and out of the damp air was enough. Enjoy!

I would suspect that we are going to love it.  We both really loved our Casita.  Spent many nights out in it.  The Pod has a similar feel and is a little bigger with lots more creature comforts.  We are looking forward to our first night out in it.  Haven't decided where but it will probably be on the No. California coast enjoying some of the beautiful weather and cold foggy nights.  There is a state park about 2 blocks from our house that we will probably go to.  Nice and easy for our first trip.
