I've come up with a formula for cleaning the outside of the R-pod. I had some staining from the elements, leaves, road debri, etc. I got a spray bottle, part full of water. Added a little Greased Lightening, dishwashing soap, and denatured alcohol. Not much, about a tablespoon of each. Then I got one of those dishwashing sponges with soft sponge on one side, rough texture on the other. Use the rough side, hold a rag between it and your hand, makes it more comfortable, and you don't get it on you. Spray a small section at a time and rub it with the solution. It cleans great without damaging the finish. Keep a clean rag to wipe clean the sections as you go before they dry. When that drys, I intend to use Menier's (I never can spell it) spray wax.

What also works well is to use a clay bar, spray any basic cleaner in a small area, clay bar it before it dries and that section is done. It does a swell job and you will like the results.

WD 40 is a great solvent for sticky things and road tar. Be careful with the decals.

Ask for it (clay bar) at any auto parts store, they will have it. Also you can get the whole detailing kit at your local Walmart. It is called MeGuiar's Smooth Surface Clay Kit. Not only does it take out all those little imperfections on your paint but also removes all those brake dust particles that eventually wreck havoc on your painted surfaces. After detailing with the clay bar you will noticed a marked difference in the feel of the surface (yeppir, smooth as a baby's butt and makes wax glide on and lasts longer too).In this kit you will received 2 80gram bars of premium clay, a spray bottle of quick detailer, and a microfiber towel. And no I do not work for or receive any stipends from MeGuiar's.
