I have a 2016 R-pod. I put a small sticker on the door awhile back. When I decided to remove it, I notice the shade of light green is darker under where the sticker was, than the rest of the door. I have tried rubbing compound but that doesn't seem to work. It looks like either weathering or the sun has lightened the door except for the little round spot. Anybody know what the solution is? Is there a product to bring out the original shade?

If you have a auto parts store in your town that specializes in paint and body supplies or you have a personal relationship with an auto body repair shop. Stop by and asking then what they would recommend using? My initial thought would be a product (wax?) on the whole door to bring its color back to what you found behind the sticker.

Henryv,
My Pod is white and all the colors on it are decals. It's a 2015. Hard to bring color back on a faded decal. Just a thought.

Unfortunately, sun fading on the paint around the decal is hard to restore. With the decal off, that paint may eventually fade to match the other paint, but I am not sure if it will or won't. When I was in the Army, I had window decals for the posts at which I was stationed. We had that vehicle about 14 years. When I finally donated it, I removed the post decals. The area under was shaded so the original blue band at the top of the windshield remained blue but the rest of the band had really faded. Like the gel-coat, there is no real way to fix something like that.
Of course, you could put another decal over the spot and call it a day.

I like you're idea of calling it a day Stephen, but call me a perfectionist, I was a professional house painter after the Marines. So I used rubbing compound, got the spot the same shade as the rest of the door. Now I need a good polish. Somebody on here is looking for one too, let me know which polish is the best.

I'm glad you got it to look the same. I use Turtle Wax Ice on the truck and the R-Pod. It seems to work pretty well.

We have used the MeGuiar's Ultimate liquid wax (black bottle) on our 177 since 2011. Leaves a fantastic finish.
