A few years ago, we were coming home from visiting my mom. We saw a crossover SUV towing an R-Pod and thus began our journey.

We are new to TT camping, having always tent camped. We needed a TT that would fit into our storage space. Remembering how awesome the R-Pod looked, I started with the Forest River website. We determined the overall size of any of the R-Pods was perfect for our storage space. We found the floor plan that would fit us. Then we began looking for a local dealer. Therein was the challenge. The one local dealer only ordered R-Pods when they had an order with 10% deposit. And the large conglomerate dealers didn't even order them. (Whaaa??? Ouch )

Fast forward a couple years and we started looking again. The local dealer had sold out to a conglomerate. We found another dealer about an hour drive from our home and drove out there. Eureka! Big smile They had several different R-Pod models IN STOCK! We picked up our RP-180 and have not looked back. We love it. It's perfect for us!

We are still figuring out what else we "need" to put in the camper. (Does that list ever end? LOL )

See you at the park!

Welcome and congratulations!  Finding this forum may help you a lot.  There is a wealth of info here.  Just ask anytime you have a question.

The list does kind of end... when you can't figure out where to put anything else!

Of course, then there are the modifications which make it possible to fit even more in of just make it more to your liking.

Everyone has their own list of musts.  Some are universal. like potable water hose and drain hose.  Some are individual like water filters and solar panels.  Camp a few times and see what you wind up wanting.  Make your own list.

You are probably more attuned to your needs than you think.  Those "must have" items when tent camping often times are needed when podding as well.  As Keith-N-Dar stated, after you do a few short camp outs you will know what you need and what to leave at home.
