I had seen a post about septic odor in the pod about a month ago. I wrote that I had just switched to the thetford aqua chem, Thick gooey, more expensive treatment after experiencing septic odor in my pod. I the interest of finding out if it made a difference, I tried to monitor how it went. I just emptied out the tank this last sunday, oct 1st. I had about a third of a tank on Labor day weekend, that I didnt have a place to dump, so I decided to see how the blue stuff worked. So I had atleast a 1/3 of a tank for over a month, and then we used it last week. We ended up with just over 2/3rds full when I dumped. I can say that there was virtually no smell what so ever, none. No smell in the closed up camper when we would come back after leaving for several hours. No smell when we would flush. I am totally sold on this stuff, I had some septic odor issues using other stuff. In the interest of full disclosure, It is fall here now, and the temperature isnt the dead heat of summer, but i'm impressed. Hopefully this helps someone.
