I actually saw what I read on here telling folk to beware of the rear of the RV rotating out as you make a turn. The fellow camping next to us this weekend had about a 35' foot RV. Not a Rpod. There was a big pine tree on the left side at the exit of his parking spot. As he turn right onto the road the rear side of the trailer hit the pine tree. Put a pretty good dent at the corner. He gets out like what the heck just happened? He looks at the damage then proceeds over to the tree and kicks it. I guess he thought the tree moved.

Really hate it when those trees jump out in the way.

I've clipped enough curbs to know better now.

I watched an RV trailer go thru our little town's downtown on the narrow main street with the steps under the door down. It missed a whole line of parked cars by maybe an inch.

Amazing how many traffic signs have fallen to a short right hand turn, more frequent in the larger trailers and some motor homes, but all associated with misjudging the turn. Anybody ever read the sign that says this vehicle makes wide right hand turns on tractor trailers, there for a reason.

This happened on the opposite side of his turn. Turned right deep and hit the back left corner. Did not turn right and hit the right side.

Correct. Folks need to be aware. Clipping the inside of a curb or tree/sign is kind of obvious. Turning and blind to your mirrors is the problem.

Try mountain biking, those pesky trees are always trying to jump out in front of me, but I am usually to fast and avoid them (usually).
