I have a new 177. I notice that when plugged into AC, my battery charges (I installed a trimetric battery monitor, totally cool!) but when plugged into my truck (running) I show no charging, any Ideas why my truck would not charge the trailer battery

Your truck may not be sending 12V through the connector to your pod.  Not all are wired to do that.  Some are wired but the fuse may be removed or blown.  Some folks add a switch or relay to prevent power from going to the RV when they don't want it.  Lots of things to check.

Check your owner's manual to see if there is a breaker or fuse that needs to be inserted or reset or replaced. I have read about some trucks needing to have that done before power would be supplied though the connector. You can check the Bargman (round) connector on your truck with a multimeter to see if power is getting to the connector. When looking at the connector, locate the notch for alignment. Going clockwise with that notch at 12:00, the 12V supply is at 1:00. You can either use the truck frame or the connector at 7:00 which is the ground. If it is supplying power, you should get a reading. If not, then the wiring problem is with your truck. If you have power, then the problem is with your R-Pod, and you should check with your dealer.

My Chevy Silverado, I had to add the fuse. Space was there as was a filler adapter, but no fuse, once fuse was added worked like a champ.
