In YOUR opinion what are the best batteries to use on a RV? The one I have I add distilled water. I think it is an interstate. Good battery?
Also if I want the off grid 2 battery setup what do you recommend?

We used Interstate Marine/RV battery since our first Pod in 2009, always seem to work well!

As you ask...In MY opinion I am very happy with my dual Duracell (Deka - East Penn Manufactured) 230 AH batteries. I debated going with Trojan T-105s, but after 4 years with the the Duracells I'm still happy with the decision. I do monitor them closely, but do not baby them or our power usage. When dry camping I have gone as long as five days, but usually will top off with generator every three days or so - pretty much what you will find w/any dual 6 volt GC batteries.

Two 6 volt golf cart batteries wired in series will give you the most amp hours if you want to camp off grid. Somewhere around 250 depending on the quality of batteries. This is the set up we have and did 5 days of boon docking with juice to spare. That being said we didn't spend much time in the trailer other than sleeping.

2 6v golf cart batteries give the most bang for the buck. The equivalent of Trojan 105s is the accepted standard. However, the equivalent of Trojan 145s is even better. Neither is particularly worth the expense unless you camp off grid a lot
