Hi -
Can anyone PLEASE tell me where the water pump is located on a 2016 R-Pod 179?
I believe I need to clean the filter as my water pump runs constantly and my drain valve is closed BUT I can't find where my water pump is located.

Any upgrades (water pump) that people use that is better, quieter, ect???

Thanks,

 -Glen Cry

The water pump is under the queen bed. You will need to take off the platform closest to the front wall in order to get to it. I put a hatch in to make getting to it easier.

That's one of the things I'm looking forward to when we convert to narrow twin beds: we'll only have to lift half a mattress to get to the plumbing.

Yes but won't you or your partner still have to crawl over one or the other?

My hero here is the guy who did the mod that lifts the entire short queen mattress. Big smile

Nope. We're planning to slice our 60" wide short queen memory foam mattress in half, giving us two 30" wide beds and a 14" aisle between them. My wife will sleep on the short side.

That works if you have a 178. The only way to do that on the 179 would be to modify the wardrobe. I don't think that would work well because it would remove the support for the wardrobe front and side.

I have always thought that someone should turn the bed in the 179 into a u-dinette and then put bunks in the slide..
