We have a 2011 R-pod 175, with a Dometic 3 way fridge and the small plastic lock/latch on the inside of the fridge is broken, it's the area where the blue led lights are. When we travel we have to tape the fridge shut, otherwise the door will open on its own and the food will fall out.
I contacted our local RV dealer and they are telling me that particular model and part are obsolete. The fridge is a Dometic Model 8501. Does anyone know if there is somewhere to obtain such a part?

Just did a google search "dometic 8501 replacement parts" and got a boatload of references. Top one was Laurelhurst RV parts and had a total breakdown of the dometic 8501 and included the latch/lock you are looking for. Shouldn't be any problem to get your part. Have a grand day.
